Turkeys Take A Spa Day To Prep For Stardom

Since I started this blog over three years ago, I’ve taken Thanksgiving week off from writing. It’s luxurious, like a beautiful spa day, which I’m only surmising because I’ve never experienced a spa day. I know — sad.
I hear a lot of turkeys are misled this time of year, thinking they’ll be the star of the show soon — which they will be. And, because stardom requires spa days, spas in the US are typically packed with turkey clientele the week before Thanksgiving.
I’m no star and this is why I know no spas. I’m down here on the ground, sliming around, happy but low-rung, cheerful among the worms. I’m not complaining. Life is good, as they say--they, meaning the apparel, stickers, and coffee mugs out there. But life truly is good. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to live this life of mine.
This Thanksgiving, I’m happy and grateful for you, too--the wonderful readers of this blog. Thank you for being you.
And, worms, here’s looking at you. Obviously.
Happy Thanksgiving, friends. :-)

I'm grateful for you.
