Grateful for You

It's the gratitude time of year, even though gratitude is every time of year. However, having explicit moments to remember to say thanks and to give that practice its own celebration is wonderful.

This leads me to the purpose of this short message of thanks to you all. I don’t want to send out a lengthy story during these hectic holiday times, but I don’t want to miss the opportunity to tell you how much I appreciate that you come around these parts and read the stories I put out there.

This is what keeps one writing. If the words I share in this blog cause one person to consider their world anew or reach back into memory and relive something special—well, that’s everything and it makes the effort worth it.

I’m grateful for so much all the time, it’s impossible to whittle it down to a small list, but suffice it to say I’m grateful for people, for the Earth, for the ability to imagine and hope, for each day I’m given. As I get older, these things only become more special.
